Diet Solution Update

It’s been a few weeks since I went on the diet solution program. So here’s whats been happening!

After 7 days my weight went from 53.7kg to 51.3kg. Now I’m not sure exactly how much was water weight and how much was actual fat loss. (Stay tuned, I’ll put a video up on youtube. I’m a bit sick during the filming of the video so excuse the weird voice)

In week 2 I had lost a further 1.2kg which brought my weight to 50.1kg.

Unfortunately I’m an idiot and didn’t get before photos!! I do have an after photo.

I decided to go off the diet after 2 weeks. It’s very hard as a vegetarian to sustain living without many protein sources. The book says that too much soy (tofu etc) is bad for you. I have cut back on soy products and have started making healthier choices. I enjoy receiving Isabel De Los Rios’s daily emails, they have lots of handy tips!
I now have a juicer permanently in my kitchen so when I crave something sweet I have a freshly squeezed juice.

Here is a current photo after the Diet Solution Program. I wish I had a before photo, I feel alot thinner and fitter after the 2 weeks on the Diet Solution program. It was a total weight loss of 3.6kg in 2 weeks! (7.92lbs).

Do I recommend the program?

Yes and no. I’d be lying if I said that as a vegetarian you will benefit from this program. If you are a meat eater then yes you will definitely have success if you stick with the program.

What exercise did I do during the program?

I did a few spin classes per week (probably 3 the first week, 4 the second) and had two half hour personal training sessions that focused on legs.

You look AMAZING Mel! I’m a vegetarian too, so thanks for letting me know I probably shouldn’t buy it. Oh wow, you lost almost 8 lbs in 2 weeks?! I go back to school in two weeks and I would so happy if that happened.. So you have any tips for me?

You look great! Don’t give in to the protein myth though, even Tony Horton is a vegetarian and even the Old Spice guy currently only eats fruits, vegetables, and leaves. Check out veganbodybuilding.com and 30bananasaday.com and sweetjuicyfreelee.com

Hey Mel, you look fantastic! Totally the beach body I want to achieve. What sort of things did you eat on the plan? I’m a vegetarian too and it looks as if I’d have to live off of lentils on this plan! Also, where is your bathing suit from? So cute!

OMG!!!!!!!!! U look ahmasing! I wish i could look as good as you! Currently ive only been able to loose one pound by exersising then just trying to eat healthy meals like chicken, egg whites, and veggies. It hasnt worked so i want to try this now! I mean seriously 7 pounds in 2weeks i didnt even know you could do that!!! I just hope it doesnt cost alot. Maybe i will buy it after you let us know if you end up gaining all the weight back after quiting the diet.
And btw mel i LOVe this site! Literaly i check it everyday so please keep posting!

you’re such an inspiration Mel! While you were losing weight the healthy way, i was losing weight with sickness and medication problems, i’ve lost nearly 6kg in two weeks but probably half was muscle mass, so not good :-( hopefully once i’m better i can try this diet and lose a healthy amount of fat and gain some muscle!

You look absolutely beautiful Mel! I am so pleased for you. 50kgs is my goal weight. Unfortunately i’ve had a few family/uni problems lately and didn’t realise i’ve been gaining weight. I’m absolutely gutted but you’ve inspired me to have a good go at it!
I’m vegan so that diet probably wouldn’t suit me. When can i join the forum? I think i’d have such a better chance if i could tlk to people about it.

O dang! Well if you guys want to know how this diet effected me? Well i lost about 5pounds already hut who knows how much was water weight. But i have the biggest mixed feelings about it! Its the only diet i can loose weight with but being deprived of so much food- theres so much you cant eat- caused me to bing like crazy! Ive never done that before but it makes you bottle up and then explode! It happened twice already! Cuz realy all u eat on this deit is eggs, nuts, chicken, fruit and veggies. Nothing else. Lol so thats just another perspective for y’all
