I’m not trying to promote anything here. I just want to share with you a semi-expensive but effective way of losing weight. My dad is 62 years old, a few months ago he started getting really sick all the time. His immune system was terrible and at around midday each day he would be lying down resting because he had no energy. He got the flu and was sick for about six weeks.

I’d always been harassing him to eat healthy food and his diet consisted of small amounts of unhealthy things. For example, I’d see him sitting on the kitchen bench eating vanilla ice cream. That would have probably been his dinner. Anyway, his friend and personal trainer started to get worried about his health and told him he needed to exercise and eat a balanced diet if he wanted to live for a long time.

My dad doesn’t have time to buy and prepare healthy food for himself and probably wouldn’t know where to start. He began ordering in specially prepared meals from a weight loss company. Every week a big box of food arrives and there are little bags of food. Some of it is frozen and some of it needs to be refrigerated. It’s pretty simple, its labelled ‘Day 1, Meal 1′ ‘Day 1, Meal 2′ etc for a week. I think there are about five meals for each day.

He mainly decided to order the food because its a balanced diet, not really for weight loss purposes. He has been eating the delivered meals for about 12 weeks now and has lost 5kg (11lbs) without really exercising. He lifts weights every now and then but that’s it really.

Anyway I just thought I’d tell that story for people who may not have time to buy and prepare foods or who may not know where to start. If you are fed up with your weight and have been trying to lose weight for a while without success, consider looking into a diet meal delivery service. I’m not sure what there is in your country but surely there is one :)

Just a thought, I hope this might have helped you in some way!

Ps: I forgot to mention, he hasn’t had to ban alcohol completely either. He still drinks one or two beers everyday and is losing weight.
