Healthy Veggie Burgers With Carb Reducing Trick!

Here is one of the main things I’ve been eating that has really helped me stay full and lose weight at the same time! In The Bikini Model Program there is a recipe for veggie burgers that is quite simple with not many ingredients. I started out having Jennifer Nicole Lee’s recipe but then it morphed and snowballed into this giant salad packed burger!

Usually I like your videos, but this video was honestly way too long for such a simple recipe. Speaking from a journalistic standpoint, some things need to be shown, but this is just not one of them.

I’m not trying to bash on you or your site — I think you’re hardworking and gorgeous and awesome, just giving you some constructive criticism.

Thanks for your constructive criticism Stephanie! I hope some people benefit from the video despite its length :)

wow such a good simple idea!! it actually reminds me of sth i did yesterday: i took a tortilla wrap with sundried tomato pesto as a base and added tomatoes and mozzerella. i think there are so many options to create a healthy, filling meal with simple ingredients fast!

Hey Mel, you’re probably in leaving mode for your trip by now (hope you have a great time!) so I doubt you’ll get a chance to reply to this before you go, but I have a few questions for you.

I’m about to start the bikini model diet (thanks to your inspirational transformation; you look amazing!) and I’ve got a few things I need some advice on.

First of all, I’m used to counting calories and a reduced calorie diet. I know from reading other comments that you don’t count calories, but I was wondering if you could let me know what a daily meal plan would be for you, besides the Veggie Burger, while you’re on this program. The more specific the better.

The other thing is protein powders/shakes. I’m completely inexperienced with them, and I’ve seen you talking about a couple in your videos, but I’m wondering which you think is the overall best to buy for someone doing the bikini model program, in terms of taste, flavour, protein, carb & soy content, price, etc.

Hope to hear from you soon, and good luck with your trip!

Hi Malin, that comment just made my day! I am so so so happy that you’ve found useful information here. This may sound weird but I am starting to feel like its part of my life’s purpose to help people lose weight the healthy way. I’m so grateful for the internet :) Sending you lots of love from Australia!!

Hi Billie, weird coincidence…I read this comment as I was standing in line at the supermarket with groceries for the trip! So yep, I’m in leaving mode lol.
As far as my daily meal plan goes I honestly don’t follow a really specific meal plan at the moment. I did when I first lost the initial weight but my goal has changed from the weight loss to just slimming down and toning up now. I’m not a fan of the super skinny look so Im just maintaining my current weight. For breakfast I have been having 50g organic muesli (no sugar added and not toasted) with some LSA blend (linseed, sunflower seeds and almonds) on top.

One of the best tips I’ve found from the book is weighing your food out. I am pretty sure I was eating about 4 serves of muesli before I weighed the ‘recommended serving’ out on the scales. It was quite a shock! 1 serve really does fill me up. For lunch I’ll have veggie burgers, salads or wraps. I have protein shakes and almonds as snacks. Dinner is usually one of the recipes from the bikini model program.

Protein powder: With protein powder, make sure you buy the one that doesnt have aspartame. I have had bsn lean dessert, bsn syntha 6 , max’s hydroxyphase, dymatize choc mint wpi, aussie bodies chocolate (tasted bad, don’t get it!) and gold whey protein isolate.

If I had to rate it by best tasting here’s the order it would go in
    1. BSN Syntha 6
    2. BSN Lean Dessert (my favourite flavour is banana creme)
    3. Gold’s Whey Protein Isolate (choc mint, rocky road and double milk chocolate are all great)
    4. Dymatize WPI (once again I had choc mint..wow I need to think outside the box haha)
    5. Hydroxyphase (I had the moccaccino flavour, my sister bought chocolate and it was way nicer)
    6. Aussie Bodies (Doesn’t deserve to make the list, not tasty!)

I’m pretty sure that gold’s whey protein, hydroxyphase and dymatize all have added aspartame. BSN doesn’t as far as I know and I’m sure aussie bodies doesn’t because it doesn’t taste nice lol.

The most expensive on that list was bsn lean dessert. Syntha 6 is great, still a bit expensive but nothing compared to lean dessert. If you’re from America you’re lucky because protein is about half the price over there as it is here!

My top pick is Syntha 6 in choc mint.

I hope I answered all of your questions!!

    xx

    Hey Mel,

I have been making burgers lately. With your carb reducing trick and also rediscovering beetroot (I haven’t really bought it since leaving home)!

Anyway, please keep the recipes coming. I would love to hear as many vegetarian, low carb hi protein recipes as you can think of.
