The Blue Crush actor reportedly lost up to 12lbs and rumors of an eating disorder circulated around Hollywood. Kate denied any eating disorder rumors "Whenever anything happens that's very painful or stressful, we all lose weight—my mother, my aunt, my grandmother."
Kate lost a family member during this time, I'm sure if I lost a family member I'd lose weight too.

She looks so ill on the second picture. I loved her figure in blue crush, muscular and slim!!!
