Lauren Conrad (star of Laguna Beach and The Hills) has always had a great figure but never felt completely confident with her body. She has recently slimmed down and lost a bit over 6lbs (a little under 3kg) by switching to a 1500 calorie a day diet and hiring a personal trainer Jarett Del Bene. Lauren Conrad has never been overweight, her body just looks even better now, slimmer and toned. Her current weight is approximately 119lbs (54kg).
One great tip I got when researching this article is that Lauren Conrad tapes her diet up on the fridge. I have started doing this and found it really helps me stick to my diet. As you approach the fridge you read what you are allowed to eat so there is no digging around for junk.
I love her diet plan because it incorporates carbs in the morning and salad and protein for the rest of the day. She has a cheat day once a week to keep herself sane in which she usually eats carbs (Jessica Biel and Katherin Heigl do this aswell).
What Does Lauren Conrad Eat?
Breakfast LC likes her coffee mixed with skim milk. A whole-grain waffle and 2 teaspoons of peanut butter give her calcium and protein. Other options: oatmeal or a bowl of Kashi cereal, both with skim milk.
Lunch A fiber- and protein-rich Cobb salad: turkey bacon, egg whites, veggies, avocado and balsamic dressing. Two more ideas: chunk light tuna and feta cheese on a bed of lettuce or a grilled chicken salad.
Midday Noshing on half a cup of low-fat cottage cheese and 10 raw almonds keeps energy up. A low-fat yogurt and seven walnuts will also do the trick.
Dinner A 4-to-6-ounce serving of a lean fish like tilapia or chicken breast is packed with protein. And salad or roasted vegetables on the side will help fill the stomach.
How Does Lauren Conrad Workout?
It surprised me to find that she only works out twice a week. She does have a very hectic schedule so I guess this comes down to not having much time. Conrad lifts weights and runs on the treadmill. On off days, she hikes for 45 minutes in L.A.’s Runyon Canyon.
Del Bene explains “Lauren really wanted to tone her arms and legs – she was happy with what she had, but she wanted to take it to the next level.” Lauren’s workout includes circuit training 3 times a week (lunges, squats, push-ups, pull-ups and free weights). Her other days are filled with cardio activities including hiking, running, and kickboxing. She says “I love waking up early and going on an hour hike. It’s the perfect start to my day.”
I typed Lauren’s diet in a chart for you to print and hang on your fridge too! Click Here if you want it.
It’s ok ..you can thank me later
