Protein Shakes for Weight Loss!
I’m a huge protein shake fan. Protein helps with weight loss because protein keeps you feeling fuller for longer. Diets such as Tony Ferguson, LA Weight Loss and Slimfast are all based around replacing one or two meals a day with a protein shakes. The problem with these programs is the price! They expect their customers to pay $3.50 per shake sachet to replace a meal. It’s daylight robbery.
I usually have dymatize choc mint whey protein isolate. I do have some plain whey protein isolate which I use to make up my own flavored drink. The reason I’m posting this is to let you know that if you don’t like the taste of the flavored shakes you can get plain whey protein isolate and add it to anything.
Here’s a great recipe for a chai chiller protein shake!
Ingredients:
15mls chai syrup (40 cal)
250 mls light soy milk or skim milk (80 cal)
1 scoop whey protein isolate (not sure of cal content..will get back to you)
Crushed Ice
You can either blend it or shake it in a shaker. It’s delicious and tastes better than a chai frappucino from starbucks!
AND its healthy

Even though protein shakes and bars are extremely expensive, if you’re at the mall and want to get something to eat, it will most likely be unhealthy and cost about $7-$10 (CA)
If you choose to throw some powder in a water bottle as your meal, it basically cost you $3 plus you’re not breaking your diet and eating healthy. That’s a different way of looking at it
I recently spent a TON of money on meal replacement bars for when I go on vacation but buying a meal would cost me more money than having a bar for a meal
