Running Shoes
I know this may seem like something weird to post about! But I just thought it would be a good thing to tell you.
A while ago (maybe 2 years!..wow that went fast) I decided to run a 10km race. So I started training for it by going jogging along the beach for 40 minutes in the afternoon. I started to get really sore knees, ankles and shins. Anyway, I told my boyfriend about my sore legs and he said the same thing happened to him and it was because he didnt have proper running shoes. (I had bought my runners for $130 and approximately a year earlier and didnt know that this was actually considered ‘cheap’ for shoes!)
Anyway, I went to a shoe shop and had one of the tests done where you stand on a pad and it measures how much weight you put on each foot (they have one at most Athletes Foot Stores). I ended up buying a pair of shoes for $330 and have never had a problem since. When I walk it feels like Im bouncing, they have really good support around the ankles!
So if you are reading this and have problems with your legs when you are running then perhaps all you need is a new pair of shoes! I have had my new shoes for 2 years and they are still going strong. I think I can get another year out of them before they look too hideous to wear!
