The New Beverly Hills Diet

13

The Beverly Hills Diet was a diet book originally published in 1981 by Judy Mazel. It has since been revised, and re-released as the New Beverly Hills Diet. The diet is based on a theory that the body needs the enzymes found in certain foods in order to digest the food properly. The author believes that when food isn’t digested, it turns to body fat. A strange belief because the body cannot metabolize the food until it has first been digested!

The Beverly Hills Diet Plan

The diet is based on a food combining principle (called conscious-combining). The main food group of the diet is fruit, but the diet has vegetable-only days, fruit-only days, and other days when some starchy carbohydrate is allowed.

Breakfast
8oz prunes

Lunch
Unlimited strawberries

Dinner
Baked potato

Drinks
Water, coffee, or tea.

Diet Summary

This diet is dangerously low in daily calories (about 800), and also low in proteins, and many many other nutrients. The theory behind is completely unproven, and fantastical. The promised weight loss is 15 pounds in 35 days.

It would be very difficult to sustain such a diet without become deficient in certain nutrients, or simply putting the weight back on after the diet.

Not to be tried.

Mel @ 10:25 am #

yeah i wouldnt do it! I just found it online and posted it because somebody requested it =) How’s your weight loss going fiore?

fiore @ 10:58 am #

 it is going ok i have lost 1 kilo since sunday…i run everyday for an hour…the problem is that the proteins are very good!! i could drink them forever …but that’s not right!i have just a question …you wrote that at lunch you usuallly ate a pumpink and pine nut salad….sorry but i am italian and i don’t know pine nut…what is it? is it similar to peanut?…then i found out 2 diets for you (you can put them on your site even if may be you already know them ) the first is the victoria beckham diet the second is nicole richie diet( idon’t know if they are true though.. :???: ?
As you well know, Victoria keeps a very fine physique. She does this by eating right, exercising occasionally, and running around after her two children. She is said to do 200 sit-ups per day, as well as spending 10 minutes on the trampoline – which is equivalent to 30 minutes of jogging. The following is a sample diet plan that Victoria would eat on a given day.

Breakfast
9:30 – 2 pieces of whole wheat toast

Lunch
12:30 – mango/fruit salad

Dinner
3:30 – chicken breast (no skin, no sauces) and roasted veggies

Supper
6:30 – edamame and more roasted veggies or green leafy salad with no cal dressing

For snacking, Victoria is said to be addicted to prawns, which are very high in protein. As a detox diet, which helps flush your system and clear up your skin, Victoria usually eats a diet of strawberries, or another fruit that is high in vitamin c for two straight days. Although this is healthy, it’s not something you would do often. Victoria is also said not to “like” meat, especially red meat.

and here it is nicole richie
The Diet
Breakfast: 2 Egg Whites; 1 Scoop of Protein Powder mixed with Water.
Lunch: 4oz. Chicken, Mixed Greens, 1c. Orange Juice
Dinner: 4oz. Fish, Steamed Veggies
Dessert: Fruit

The Workout
1 Hour Weight training
90 Minutes of High Impact Cardio
…….although they say……..
Her recent transformation is a prime example of how drastically a balanced diet and increased physical activity can change a person’s appearance. Nicole exercises four times a week and does something different during each session. Besides integral training (cardio and weight work combined) the newly svelte starlet likes to use the indo board for balance and leg work. Furthermore, according to her trainer Adam Estner, “Richie now eats more food than before, but she eats the right kind.

Hey fiore!

Thanks heapps! I just posted the victoria beckham diet you found, go have a look! I’ll do the Nicole Richie one later.

Well done with your 1 kilo weight loss  pine nuts are little tiny nuts that you can buy from the supermarket. They aren’t like peanuts but cashews are good in salads too, just in case you can’t find pine nuts

xx

This is for Fiore -

Sorry just wanted to say that sometimes the pine nuts are packaged as ‘pine kernals’ they are the seeds from pine cones of Pinus pinea trees.
They are a Super food, said to reduce cholesterol and hinder the bodys absorbtion of saturated fats. They are a good source of magnesium and zinc and contain B1 B2 B3 and vitamin E.
They are also high in protien, so great for us Vegeterians

fiore @ 12:39 pm #

hello natalie…i am very stupid i found out what are pine nuts! they are called “pinoli” in italy and i use it everyday…. thay are very good!!!thanks

A diet like this may look promising, but it burns mucsle not FAT. Our bodies need protein to burn fat along with a recommended amount of carbs.

Stupid diet tries something like it before.. all veggies!

Do Not Try. Work, & Love life suffer b/c of the LACK of ENERGY.

Be Healthy & Happy!

Yeah and any RAPID weight LOss can PROMISE RAPID weight GAIN.
Be patient your body and mind will thank you.
