What Your Most Effective Diet Has Been
I once posted a topic in the forum asking what everybody thought the most effective diet they’ve tried is. Here are the results..I’m not condoning anything that is unhealthy that may be in the answers. These are copied and pasted exactly as they were written by the forum members.

Disclaimer: Some of the “diets” that people have listed below are not healthy at all. If you starve yourself you are going to end up going into starvation mode and gaining weight back rapidly if you ever start eating normally again. If you do not start to eat normally again your body will start eating away at itself, including your organs and heart. You will be at risk of heart attack and other serious health conditions. Anorexia is a very deadly disease and NOT a fashion trend

Comments on What Your Most Effective Diet Has Been
wow. some of these diets deff aren’t healthy. my most effective diet would have to have been eating around 1000 calories a day with about 2 hours exersice(1 hour running, the other either tennis vollyball or weight training) and drinking ten glasses of water a day.
i think it was good because for me at least it was extreme enough to get results somewhat quickly but not so extreme that i couldn’t stick to it.
I am vegan so i eat quite healthy food most of the time. I think that because i have less bad stuff to cut out of my diet it may be harder. I have started writing a little blog http://www.beforeyoujump.blogspot.com/ and i talk about different workouts and meal plans etc
I m planning to do the lemonade master cleanse at the end of Jan and will post all the way through.
I find this site so helpful it really gives me the boost and inspiration i need
I’d really appreciate any advice/comments
i totally agree with nadine, most of the diets are way to ignorant about a balance diet, the importance of sports and cannot be kept up for a long time.
the diet which has most effect for me, is a change of lifestyle.
1. healthy eating
(less white floar, sugar, fat and alcohol – more fruits, vegetables, fish, wholegrain products, lowfat milkproducts … )
2. Planing
I’m often writing a food-diary, trying to eat about 1200 kcal a day, not more, not less (don’t forget your metabolism)
Write a grocery list and a training plan, so it is less possible you pass out, just because you don’t want to go.
3. Sports
Find something you like and which you are able to integrate in your everyday life. I like to go to the fitness center, because I can choose my own times and I am not dependent on the weather. And it’s really important, to do sports 2-3 times a week, because you don’t wanna lose your muscles to the diet.
4. Cooking
Yeah, right. Plan what you like to eat, buy the ingredients and do it. You’ll see, this way you know what your meal contains and you will start to eat less oily, faty, unhealthy stuff.
but thats just theory, of course there are times i party a lot, drink alcohol, just carb stuff i like with friends und do not work out… but after gaining 5-6 pounds, i do feel uncomfortable, have the need for fresh, home-made food and sport. so all in all, i noticed for myself, that this way of dieting is more effective than any hardcore crash diet.
300 calories a day with lots of boxing and running worked great but I could’nt keep it up it was so hard. and I figured that if i want to model i coul’nt keep that life style up
Vegan! I’ve tried some crazy 500-calorie a day things, but vegan seems the best. I think I just stick with it better, since I have way more motivation besides my waistline. Plus, sans dairy totally cleared up my acne!
