YAY!

14

Woah! You are all still out there :D YAY!

I’m so sorry I havent been updating, I have been quite busy lately! You know..morgage/living out of home for the first time/trying to make money to all the bills! But I am definitely inspired to keep up the site now! I haven’t really been watching my weight too much lately either, I havent been to the gym in about 6 weeks!! It’s terrible I know!

I think I will start youtubing again too. I have brown hair now so you probably wont even recognise me! Yepppp what elseee

I have decided to not let my busy schedule stop me going to the gym. I have been using it as an excuse not to exercise but now I am feeling really unfit/lazy. Tomorrow is the first day of my new life! I am going to get up at 7:30am and go to the gym for an hour and a half! Who is with me? Don’t wait until the New Year to start your new diet, start now!

Here’s my new diet/exercise regime..if anybody wants to copy feel free!

Breakfast: All Bran + Soy Milk + 1/2 Banana
Lunch: Yogurt + Grapes
Dinner: Roast Vegetable Wrap

Snacks: Almonds between meals if I get hungry

Exercise: Burn 500 Calories On Treadmill/Elliptical/Bike + Weights

Melissas Diet Tips for 2010

  • Fill bottles of water to keep in the fridge. Sometimes when we are dehydrated we eat when really all we need is some calorie free h20!
  • Ration your servings out. I already have my cereal and milk for tomorrow morning measured out and ready to go.
  • Sugarfree/Low Fat isnt always the way to go. I dont feel satisfied after a low fat/sugarfree yogurt and it sometimes leads to eating more. Now I go for a regular full fat yogurt instead. Way less preservatives too!
  • Think of the reasons why you decided to go on a diet in the first place. Do they still apply? Now slowly back away from the block of chocolate
  • Dont take life too seriously! If you eat one little bad thing just move on. Don’t get upset about it and end up eating your feelings!

The meal plan thing really helps. Please keep posting them. This is one of my favorite diet/exercise sites. Simple and healthy. No starvation.

A little tip:
I used to mix bran flakes and muesli and add banana on top for breakfast – high quality cereal- no added sugar, preservatives etc nd one day i decided to weigh it out and see how many calories were in it – 800! I was shocked to say the least.
Now i have a bowl of fruit and add cereal on top. I have a little bowl that holds 100 cals worth of cereal so i fill that and dd it to my fruit every day (probably easier than weighing it all out the night before)

I have been snacking on dried apricots and nuts – keep a tiny tupperware box in your bag :) and vary your dried fruits snd nuts daily (be sure to check for added sugar/syrup)

Hi Mel!
Of course people are still following you! I was so happy to receive your e-mail! Just in time :-) Same thing, as you described, happened to me! I start today as well.. I am just on my way to gym.. Could you maybe tell me more about your diet? Like how you prepare that vegetable wrap? Do you have any other ideas? Like which soya milk etc (I thought “So Good” is pretty good.. ) Ayway, have 2 Oz flights (Sidney) next month, so I can get my groceries there and bring it backto Dubai :-)
Keep on writing!
Corinne

Are you burning 500 calories on each machine? Also what vegetables are in the Roasted Vegetable wrap and what kind of bread are you using?
Glad to have you back and can’t wait for updates:)

My New Years resolution is to get slimmer and fitter again, so this is really helpful :)
The meal plans are a great idea. Also, as I take a packed lunch to eat everyday, I would be so thankful if you could post some healthy ideas for them. I also get stuck, and I know a sandwich isn’t the best for me.

Hello, amazing, I’m so gonna try that meal plan it seems healthy and it really helps me cause I usually don’t know what to eat or get bored with a plan (not knowing how to combine food) and ended up eating a bunch of calories, fat, basiclly junk food. Please keep posting them. I’m begging you =)

You already are nice and skinny! But one thing i noticed was that i dont hink you are consuming enoughf calories in a day. That meal plan is less than 1000 calories a day and when you eat less then 1300 cals a day you end up loosing muscel and screws up your matabalism so your better of eating more food. Im just saying this not to be rude butn i dont want you to promote unhealthy eating habits.
